Dr. Pedvis will begin the Invisalign® procedure with detailed x-rays of the teeth. This allows for a detailed three-dimensional image of the teeth. Dr. Pedvis will also assess the natural movement of the teeth, and will determine the extent of treatment, based on the condition of the teeth.
The Invisalign® system actually allows patients to see a virtual demo of how the teeth will be transformed. The idea behind Invisalign® is that teeth will shift gradually over time. With the Invisalign® aligners in place, the teeth are moving into proper alignment month after month.
The procedure begins with customized “clear aligners” that are tailor-made for each patient. The aligners are made of “BPA-FREE” plastic and are quite comfortable inside the mouth. Patients are asked to wear the aligners during the day, and safely remove them while eating or brushing.

One of the other benefits of Invisalign® is that the fixture is practically invisible. Every two weeks new aligners are provided, and every six weeks Dr. Pedvis monitors the progress and development. It’s recommended that patients wear the aligners for about 20 hours daily.
